A few odds and ends taken during a October 2008. Please also see 'The cannon and Belle show' dated the 10th of October

With little clouds being as annoying as an annoying cloud could possibly be (ruining my shot of 86259 and the previous engineers) it was nice to see 86604 and 86613 beat a cloud to the line (but only just) with 4L75 11:44 Crewe-Felixstowe. Long Buckby, 8th October 2008

 I`ve tried this spot literally dozens of times for the Fastline Grid, but for some reason, never seem to have much luck. Late running, poor loads, or those dreaded clouds have seen be trudge back to my car sulking many times! However, today was as good as it could get, on-time, a good load, and no clouds (a big grey one had literally cleared the sun by a matter of seconds!!!!) Anyway, enough of me being happy for once - this is 4O90 13:36 Birch Coppice-Thamesport. 8th October 2008

 In the early hours, a Pendolino heads north at Whilton Locks, Northamptonshire. 9th October 2008. I didn`t really come here for 86259 hauling the 'Royal Scot' from Euston-Crewe....... (This had been retimed an hour earlier, and I didn`t digest all the information correctly....) A nice morning for a walk if nothing else!! 9th October 2008

 92036 with 2 dead sheds heads south with 6L42 12:33 Warrington Arpley-Ripple Lane on the 13th of October 2008. The train is approaching Long Buckby.

Nothing exciting about this, but 2 of the previous down workings were harassed by annoying clouds, so I had to take a photo of something in the sun! This is 66590 with 4M81 07:45 Felixstowe-Ditton, which is normally a solid Class 90 turn. Anyway, the fred enjoys the sun as it passes Grange farm on the outskirts of Northampton. 21st October 2008

 At least I finally managed a cloud-free shot here of 6H50 13:10 Willesden-Tunstead, which was running very late. It is passing Grange Farm, Northampton, on the 21st of October 2008. 60005 is the motive power.

As the sun was getting on it`s knees, 66425 leads the RHTT past Grange farm with the RHTT. I had planned on getting the train crossing the viaduct, but felt that the effects of the water cannon spray would be lost. But, as can be seen here, nothing would have been lost anyway! Still, an improvement over last weeks dreadful shot! 21st October 2008.
