My visit to Kings Sutton to get the 47 on the empty Steel was a disaster, and I as good as left with no shots of anything at all. Despite being in only partial sun, I took this shot of 67013 as it works 1J82 12:17 London Marylebone-Shrewsbury, and dismissed it as a 'shot for the records only' folder! However, It`s not quite as bad as I recall, so have included it here for the time being at least........ 8th October 2009.

The 9th of October 2009 sees 57601 heading south at Barby Nortoft with a 5Z22 ecs working from Carnforth. This stock was to form the 'Royal Scot' from Euston-Glasgow the following Day. ...........and when you want a grey one....... Green 90041 heads south at Watford village as it works 4L75 10:35 Crewe BH_Felixstowe on the 13th of October 2009. Shots at this lovely peaceful location are unfortunately very limited, especially since Network Rail (or whoever is responsible) have neglected keeping lineside tree growth down to sensible levels here. Trees can be seen growing 'within' the catenery masts just noth of here, and the trees in the foreground are covering up Henleys bridge, one of the finest Cast Iron structures you could possible see on todays railways. This really is a crying shame..........

 ***DO NOT TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY!!!*** Well, I was bored sitting at my desk all day, so popped over to Nortoft for a short while. It was nice to have some good company there for once. However, the clouds didn`t play ball, and it was dull as the 2 ugly sisters fronted by the 'well-mingin' 37601 turned up, (47802 is at the rear.) Instead of scrapping the shot, I thought I`d have a little play, I hope you like it, you know who you are!!
